During the first College Mass this year, held on January 8 and led by the Principal, Rev. Dr. Marcel Uwineza, SJ, HUC acknowledged and appreciated two employees who have served the institution for the longest period of time. Mr. Benjamin Marindany, the college driver, joined Hekima on September 1, 1999.
Over the years he has served the institution, Benyamin has driven students and staff to various places and is well known for his carefulness and keenness on the road. He is very grateful for the opportunity and is happy to serve. He joined Hekima under the leadership of the then Rector Rev. Jean-Roger NDOMBI, SJ from AOC Province, who served Hekima between 1998 and 2000. The Community Minister under whom he served was Rev. Boniface TONYE, SJ, also from AOC province.
Ms. Pamela Omwenga, who joined Hekima at the same time as Benjamin, has also diligently served the institution, taking care of cleanliness and making sure that the institution’s facilities, classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and all other surfaces are tidy and conducive to learning.
The two employees received tokens of appreciation presented to them by the Principal.
