Sr. Jacinta Opondo FSA, MED, JCD
SUMMARY
Sr. Jacinta Auma Opondo, a Franciscan Sister of St. Anne (FSSA), is a canon lawyer and scholar dedicated to promoting justice, good governance, and transformative formation within the Church. She holds a Doctorate in Canon Law (J.C.D) from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, and serves as Deputy Principal for Academics and Research at Hekima University College, Nairobi, where she also lectures in Canon Law.
Her academic and professional experience spans teaching, tribunal service, and consultancy for religious institutes across Africa. She is a member of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Canon Law Executive Committee, a Judge at the Interdiocesan Tribunal of Kisumu, and a Consultant to Religious Major Superiors.
