Hekima University College warmly invites you to the launch of the book African Synodal Theology: A Tall Tree Is as Strong as Its Roots, edited by Fr. Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, SJ.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Orobator for this significant scholarly contribution and are honored that he graciously chose Hekima University College as the venue for this launch.
The volume brings together distinguished scholars reflecting on synodality in the African Church. We are particularly proud that several contributors are closely associated with Hekima, including José Minaku Lukoli, Marcel Uwineza, Josée Ngalula, Anne Arabome, Anthony Egan, Ludovic Lado, Chijioke Azuawusiefe, and William O’Neill.
We are also indebted to our two publishers, Orbis Books (New York, December 2025) and Pauline Africa (Nairobi, March 2026), for a job well done in bringing this important volume to publication.
The book will be available for sale at a subsidized price of KES 500. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors whose generosity made it possible to publish the book and offer it at this accessible rate.
